To make a payment or transfer using the mobile app please follow these instructions based on what type of device you are using:

Make a payment

  1. Tap ‘Payments’ on the bottom of the home screen
  2. Make sure the account shown is set to the account where you want to make the payment from. You can swipe to change accounts or tap 'Change account'
  3. Select ‘Send money’ then ‘Make a payment’
  4. Tap on the existing payee you would like to pay or tap ‘Pay someone new’
  5. If paying someone new, enter the payee’s first and last name or full company trading name, select the account type (Personal or Business), then the account number and sort code of the person you want to pay
  6. Enter a reference and choose the amount and date

To ensure your money is safe, we will sometimes ask you to authorise a payment.

  • If you have registered for face biometrics, we will ask you to use this and you will be able to authorise a new payment up to £20,000.00 for Personal customers or £50,000.00 for Premier and Business customers. Mobile payment limits apply

If you haven’t registered for face biometrics you can

  • Use Face ID/Touch ID on iOS, fingerprint on Android or your app passcode up to the mobile app daily limit.

Transfer between accounts

  1. Tap ‘Payments’ on the bottom of the home screen
  2. Make sure the account shown is set to the account where you want to make the transfer from. You can swipe to change accounts or tap 'Change account'
  3. Tap ‘Transfer money’
  4. Choose which account you would like to transfer to and the amount. If you only have one other account to transfer to you may not need to select an account
  5. Select ‘send now’ or ‘send later’ then tap 'Continue' and ‘Make transfer’
