How can I get a copy of my statement?

Getting a paper copy of your bank account statement

Online Banking

If you want paper copies of your online statements for your current, savings accounts or credit card, you can save and print PDF versions from your Online Banking service.

You will get an email when your most recent statement is available.

For help with printing paper statements, you can follow the step by step instructions.

  1. Log in to Online Banking at www.onlinebanking.natwest.com (opens in a new window)
  2. Select 'Statements' from the main menu and then 'View, save and print PDF statements and certificates of interest (up to 7 years)' from the 'Your accounts' section
  3. Select the account you want the statement for, and then 'Next'
  4. From the list of available statements select the one you need to print, and then 'View Statement'
  5. Select 'Download Statement (PDF)' at the start of the page

If you find you can't print a PDF statement by following these instructions, or don't have access to a printer, you can chat to our Online Banking helpdesk.

There are two options depending on your needs:

Transaction History List (up to 7 years)

  • Which is free 
  • Will arrive within 5 working days on headed paper & to your Secure Inbox within 48 hours
  • Is a legally compliant statement and widely accepted for proof of current address and income

Copy of an original statement

  • Costs £3 per order (for historic statements)
  • Will arrive in 12 - 16 working days
  • Accepted for proof of income but cannot be used as proof of address

Getting a paper copy of your credit card statement

Mobile App (Credit Cards Only)

  • Once logged in to the app, select your credit card, and choose the ‘statements’ option.
  • Select the drop down arrow next to ‘more info on statements’.
  • Select the statement you would like to view.
  • Scroll down, and click ‘apply’
  • This will take you out of the app, but still keep you logged in.
  • Select the little export button to the top right. Choose how you’d like to export the statement.

If you don't have the mobile app, or Online Banking, please call Credit Card Services. There is a £3 charge for posting a copy of a paper statement to you, and you should receive it within 7-10 days.
