Will all transactions be blocked once 'Manage my card' is set to locked?

No. Some payments will still be completed, for example:

  • Payments that are processed by a retailer, such as on a plane or road toll
  • Regular subscriptions, e.g. a monthly magazine
  • Payments that are authorised before the lock is put in place

If I have a pending transaction when I lock my card, will the transaction be paid?

Yes. Transactions which have already been authorised will clear. It is only from the point that the lock is put in place that a initiated transaction will be declined.

Will spend control apply to Digital Wallet payments (i.e. Apple Pay or Google Pay)?

Yes, card lock/unlock will apply to all Digital Wallet payments.

If card lock is active against my card, will this prevent a chargeback or refund being processed?

No, the card lock feature will not prevent refunded transactions or chargebacks.
