What ID do I require to apply for a loan as an Airbnb host?

When applying for a loan via a retailer webpage we will ask for ID to make sure we’re opening the account for the right person. The good news is that our security partner HooYu offers a safe, quick way to check your ID.

HooYu could ask you for:

  • Photo ID – like a driver’s licence, passport, or EU ID card.
  • A short video or selfie – to compare with your photo ID.
  • Proof of address – something like a driver’s licence, utility bill, bank statements or tax document might also be required.

I am an Airbnb host and have applied for a loan, how soon will I receive my money?

Upon completion of your NatWest loan application you will be asked to upload identification documents to our secure HooYu system to verify your identity, please ensure you upload require documents within 14 days.

Once all checks are complete we will send you an application complete confirmation email to let you know your money is on it’s way.

I applied for a loan as an Airbnb host and have not yet received my goods.

If you have yet to receive your goods purchased using a NatWest loan, please make direct contact with the retailer you purchased from for an update.

I have received a link re-inviting me to complete the HooYu process, although I have already completed.

You will receive a reinvitation link if there has been as issue with one of the documents you have already uploaded, to progress yor application you will be requested to upload another form of documentation.
