How do I register my credit card for travel?

If you intend to use your personal credit or debit card abroad it is best that you let us know. Telling us in advance that you’re travelling will notify our transaction monitoring systems you will be using your credit or debit card abroad. This will significantly reduce the likelihood of your transactions being blocked.

If you're travelling abroad and plan to use your credit card to pay for things, let us know at least 24 hours in advance and you should be able to spend freely without worrying about your card being blocked.

Register your credit card online

If you are signed up for Online Banking you can log on (www.nwolb.com (opens in a new window)) and register the details of your trip yourself by completing the online form. It only takes a few minutes.

All you need to do is select 'Cards' from the left hand menu and register your travel plans in the 'Using your card abroad' section. For credit cards select ‘Manage your travel plans for your credit card’.

For debit cards select 'Manage your travel plans for your debit card'.
