How do I change my business name?

To change your business name you will need to put a request in writing to your Business Manager. The letter should:

  • Be a signed original
  • Include your account number and sort code
  • State what the business name is changing from and to
  • Be signed in accordance with the mandate for the account (the signatures of all account holders are required)

You are not able to change the entity of your business - e.g. if you are changing from a sole trader to a Limited Company you would need to open a new account, suitable for your new business type.
