What is an authorisation code?

Each time you make a successful online transaction with your debit card, we will electronically send a 6 digit authorisation code to the merchant you have paid to allow the payment to go through.

You may need the authorisation codes used in transactions if you are disputing a payment with a retailer. You can find the authorisation code by speaking to telephone banking.
