Cancelling a standing order using your mobile banking app
- Log in to your Mobile Banking app
- Select the 'Payments' button from the Home screen and ensure the preferred account is set to the account which the standing order is set up on, select 'Regular payments'
- Select 'Standing Orders'. You can also Select 'Standing Orders' from the account menu
- Select the standing order you want cancelled. You will see the detail of the standing order, and the option to cancel the standing order will appear at the bottom of this screen
Please note: To cancel your standing order from within the mobile banking app you need to give us at least two working days' notice.
Cancelling a standing order online
- Log in to your Online Banking service at www.onlinebanking.natwest.com (opens in a new window)
- Click the 'Payments & transfers' link.
- Under Standing orders click 'Manage standing orders'.
- You will now see all the standing orders you currently have set up.
- Select a standing order and click 'View standing order' to view more details or 'Cancel standing order' then 'Confirm' to cancel it.
- You will then see a confirmation screen confirming cancellation of the standing order.
You can cancel a standing order online up to 6:00pm on the previous working day before it is due. However, if you do not want the payment to leave the account, this will need to be cancelled at least 48 working hours before this is scheduled to leave.
